Hatha yoga asanas are a great way to keep your body supple, energized, fit and healthy. These exercises gently stretch, strengthen and tone muscles, increase flexibility, balance hormones, and cleanse and flush all the internal systems of the body. When combined with special breathing techniques, yoga exercises help one to relax, reduce stress and calm and focus the mind.
People today are turning to meditation for many reasons: to find relief from the stress and anxiety of their daily lives; to find peace after some traumatic event or looking for a deeper understanding of the self and the purpose of life. The recommended process of meditation for this day and age is Mantra Meditation.
Kirtan is a simultaneously fun yet very powerful form of meditation. Kirtan is the hearing and chanting of transcendental sound vibrations, or Mantras, generally accompanied by musical instruments. By meditating on these beautiful transcendental sounds we can free the heart and mind of the stress and anxieties of daily life and begin to taste the inner happiness that we are always searching for.
